Rift in KCR family over his political successor

Hyderabad: The efforts of Mr. KCR for nominating his son, KTR as his political successor have practically created rifts among his family members.

According to authentic sources, Mr. KCR has entrusted the responsibility of promoting KTR’s name as his political successor in the election campaigns. According the instructions of CM, his confidants have already started campaigning in favour of KTR taking the support of a section of media group.

Soon after the name of KTR started making rounds as the political successor of KCR, many MLAs and senior leaders started opposing it. It is reported that if in the meeting after the results of Assembly polls, the name of KTR is proposed as CM, the MLAs are advised to support KTR or request KCR to remain CM.

Sources also indicated that a rift has developed in the family of KCR. The way in which Irrigation Minister, Harish Rao is being overlooked, the family members of KCR are irritated.

It is also reported that MP of Nizamabad, Ms. Kavitha also presented her claim as the successor of Mr. KCR but she was silenced saying that with the differences of brother and sister, the opponents might get benefit. Mr. Harish Rao has been maintaining silence on this issue.

It may be mentioned that since the inception of TRS in 2001, Mr. Harish Rao has been working at grass root level to muster the support of the people.

Mr. KCR has been spending most of his time at his farm house to forge a strategy to resolve this issue. Party leaders believe that if KTR is nominated as CM, TRS is bound to disintegrate.

In order to keep himself away from this issue, Mr. Harish Rao had given an interview to the press reporters saying that he is ready to cooperate with KTR if he is nominated as CM of TS.
