Roja ridicules Somireddy comments on Jagan’s Praja Sankalpa Yatra

Hyderabad: Reacting to the comments of TDP Minister Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy on the YSRCP Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s Praja Sankalpa Yatra, which concluded on Wednesday, YSRCP MLA RK Roja said there was such a massive crowd at Icchapuram that the minister would have been crushed under the feet of the people, who had come in thousands to see their leader, she said.

Ridiculing Somireddy’s remarks, Roja said though YS Jagan was born with a silver spoon, he was a very down-to-earth person unlike Chandrababu Naidu, who gets offended if the common people get too closer to him. Jagan has successfully completed his Praja Sankalpa Yatra and decided to offer prayers to Lord Venkateshwara by standing in the normal queue as against Chandrababu, who chooses to have VIP treatment for him and his family members. She also said the Praja Sankalpa Yatra was similar to a new wave of transformation during the course of which YS Jagan had been listening patiently to people’s problems. The widespread resentment against Chandrababu Naidu came to the fore all along and people were keen on ending Chandrababu Naidu’s “autocratic” regime.

Speaking to mediapersons after having prayed for YS Jagan’s successful completion of his Padayatra in the temple at Tirumala, Roja said the overwhelming success of Praja Sankalpa Yatra was a slap in the face of the TDP regime and its leaders.

Meanwhile, Jagan set out to trek the Tirumala hills like a commoner, barefoot and surrounded by his fans and followers, who were greeting and congratulating him on the way for his successful completion of the Padayatra. He will have darshan in the regular queue shunning VIP queue to ensure that regular pilgrims are not inconvenienced in any way.
