Hyderabad: Municipal Minister KT Rama Rao today said that Rs 1665 cr plan is being prepared for Musi River beautification and development program. KTR held a review meeting with the Musi development corporation and other officials. on the lines of Sabarmati development in Gujrat. It was decided by the government to take up the beautification and development works in two phases. While Rs 956 cr will be spent in the first package, it was decided to spend Rs 709 cr in the second package.
The minister said that the government will release Rs 500 cr for the project and will get the rest of the funds from the banks and financial institutions. To boost the works the government has already offered administrative sanction for the Musi development project he said and asked the officials to speed up the works. Stating that an official team made a visit to Sabarmati river front officials KTR also said that a GO in this regard was also issued. (NSS)
