Hyderabad: TRS party has given Rs. 30 lakh exgratia to the family of TRS worker Ayub Khan, who had committed suicide by setting himself ablaze for not being given a role in the party.
IT minister K T Rama Rao, Deputy CM Mahmood Ali, transport minister Mahendar Reddy handed over the cheque of Rs 30 lakh to the family at the CM’s camp office on Tuesday.
The family was also assured help in the future as well.
On August 30, Ayub Khan, a local leader in Tandur, had set himself ablaze, at a party meeting addressed by transport minister Mahendar Reddy, in protest against the party leaders not giving recognition to those who plunged into separate State movement.
