In a case of neligence, Uttar Prdaesh education board issued a admit card to a student of an inter college (Ankur Inter College) Durga Nagar in Agra with photo of Arjun Tendulkar, son of legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar.
The major mistake was committed a day before 1.6 lakh students of Agra are to be appear in their exam starting on Thursday.
The admit card number 0025488 bears the birth date 10/06/1996 for student named Arjun Singh with photo of Sachin Tendulkar’s son whereas Arjun Tendulkar’s was born on September 22, 1996.
The card also mentions names of Arjun Singh’s parents, Shrimati Devi his mother and Ramniwas his father.
The blunder exposes the nexus of education mafia with private and public colleges running in the entire state.
Education mafias try to make admit cards issued with fake photographs so that someone else can appear for the examination to ensure that the actual candidate get passed.
A report says that college administration is also involved in the scam.
Agra district inspector of schools Dinesh Kumar Yadav said, the school is also at fault as not even a single photo of the students appearing for the examination this year is available with the school authorities in order to crosscheck the identity of the students, while a committee has been setup to investigate the matter.
