Saints ‘purify’ Saryu River with milk which became ‘impure’ due to the presence of Muslims

Ayodhya: After objection by some saints, the Rashtriya Muslim Manch, a sub organisation of RSS cancelled the grand namaz and Quran recitation session on the banks of Saryu River in Ayodhya scheduled for Thursday. They offered namaz on the shrine.

However, it is said that even the presence of Muslims on the Saryu River didn’t go well with the saints. The Saryu River which became ‘impure’ due to Namaz was ‘purified’ with the milk.

A number of saints of Ayodhya stood in the water of Saryu River and poured 51 litres of milk in the river and did puja to ‘purify’ the river.

Mahant Dilip Das who organised the programme told that milk was offered to the river to get rid of obstacles coming in between construction of Ram temple. The saints said those who conspire to violate the purity of Saryu River will not be tolerated. They said they wish that the conspirers get wisdom, cow slaughter is stopped, people stop eating meat and help in the construction of the temple.
