Just three weeks ago, I was in Vilnius, Lithuania, memorably participating at the ‘Arabic Culture Days 2017’ art exhibit, hosted by The Arabic Culture Forum. And I must say – my experience was both indelibly eventful and equally enlightening.
It was a great honour to be the only Arabic Calligraphy Artist – exhibiting my art – among other international cultural artists. It was an even greater privilege – when I was requested to create the event’s logo in my signature calligraphic style. To add to this – my warm welcome in Lithuania was further complimented by requests for demonstrations of my unique contemporary calligraphic art-style, and an interview with Lithuania’s national LRT TV (click to watch).
Lithuanians are a truly wonderful people and showcasing my art to such curious and respectful individuals has been a most enriching experience. The ‘Arabic Culture Days ‘ art-exhibit was a success and hopefully instrumental in propagating further curiosity for various cultural arts across the globe.
