Samar Saleh: the first Saudi woman to become commercial attaché

Riyadh: Samar Bint Mazin Saleh has been appointed as commercial attaché at the Saudi Commercial Attaché’s Office in Tokyo. The appointment was made by Minister of Commerce and Investment Dr. Majed Bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi as part of the ministry’s policy to empower Saudi women. She has become the first woman to be appointed as commercial attaché.

A post graduate in journalism and international media, Samar Saleh worked as in-charge for developing trade exchange at the Commercial Attaché’s Office in the Kingdom’s Embassy in Italy before being appointed as commercial attaché.

According to Saudi Gazette, she studied post-graduation from City University in London and obtained a bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass media from the American University in Sharjah. She also completed the executive leadership program at Harvard University in the US.
