Dubai: Former chief selector of Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) Sanath Jayasuriya has been charged by the International Cricket Council (ICC) for breaching its anti-corruption code.

As per an official statement, the 49-year-old was allegedly found to have breached Article 2.4.6 v of ICC anti-corruption code of conduct, which is related to failure or refusal, without compelling justification, to cooperate with any investigation carried out by the Anti-Corruption Unit (ACU), including failure to provide accurately and completely any information and/or documentation requested by the ACU as part of such investigation.
