Satya Pal Malik asks govt. to hold talk with separatists

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik on Thursday said the government should open doors of talks before assembly elections. He said the government should talk to regional parties and other Kashmiris including separatists.

An Urdu newspaper with reference to UNI stated that governor said that he honestly says that Delhi committed some mistakes during the past 40 years, as a result, Kashmir felt a sense of alienation. He said freedom, anatomy and merging with Pakistan are such dreams which can never be fulfilled.

Satya Pal Malik felt that Delhi media was unfair to present Kashmir and Kashmiris in a negative way.

He, however, said, “As far as Hurriyat is concerned, they don’t even go to the toilet without asking Pakistan. Till they don’t keep Pakistan aside and stop insisting on involving it in dialogue, no talks can be held with them.”
