Saudi Arabia to build world’s tallest skyscraper in Jeddah

Jeddah: Saudi Arabia has signed a contract of 620-million Saudi riyal for infrastructure work at the site, to build the world’s tallest skyscraper in Jeddah.

The contract was given to local Al-Fouzan General Contracting Co. The infrastructure work at the site will be finished within 12 months. The $1.2 billion project will be finished by 2020.

As reported by Arab News the Jeddah Tower is projected to be over 1,000 meters (3,281 feet) tall, eclipsing Dubai’s Burj Khalifa, which is over 828 meters.
