Riyadh: Mohammed Bin Salman, Saudi Crown Prince made a shocking revelation about “Wahhabism”. He also talked about what allies instructed Saudi Arabia during Cold War Era.
According to the report published in The Washington Post, replying to the question about “Wahhabism”, he said that investments in Masjids and Madrassas started during Cold War after allies asked Saudi Arabia to stop the Soviet Union from involving in Muslim countries.
He also said that they are getting funds from foundations based in Saudi Arabia, not from Saudi Government. “We have to get it all back”, he added.
According to the report published in Daily Sabah, Wahhabism claims that they are trying to purify Islam. They termed themselves as “Salafi” and others as “Sufi”.
