SC website hacked minutes after dismissing independent probe in CBI Judge’s death

New Delhi: Minutes after the Apex Court had dismissed petitions demanding an independent probe into special CBI Judge BH Loya’s death case, the Supreme Court website crashed abruptly on Thursday.

The official website of Supreme Court- supremecourtofindia.nic.in, displayed an image similar to a ‘leaf’ which also read ‘hackeado por HighTech Brazil HacTeam’ on top according to News 18. Now the website displays a message which says “the site can’t be reached”.

According to the reports, a Brazilian hacker team is suspected to be responsible for the site crash.

Previously, Defence Ministry’s official website was hacked by some Chinese hackers since the site displayed a Chinese letter. The Home Ministry’s official website was also hacked earlier this year.

The Apex Court today denied independent probe into CBI Judge BH Loya case murder case who had died while he was hearing the Sohrabuddin Sheikh fake encounter case, in which BJP Chief Amit Shah was among the accused.

The court on Thursday dismissed the petitions calling them “scandalous,” and ruled out there is no such need to carry out an independent probe.
