West Bengal: Railway police informed that it arrested two persons at Asansol Railway Station. One of them claimed to be the Personal Assistant (Secretary) of Mr Dilip Ghosh, President of BJP of West Bengal. A sum of Re. one crore was seized from their possession.
Police sources revealed that Goutham Chattopadhyay and Laxmikant were intercepted and arrested at Asansol Railway Station when they were trying to board the train going to Kolkatta.
Chattopadhyay told that he works as the secretary of Dilip Ghosh.
Railway sources informed that they were carrying a heavy bag and were wandering in suspicious condition. On searching the bag, Re. one crore was found. Both the passengers confessed that they were carrying this amount to Kolkatta.
It may be mentioned that two days back, Re. one lakh was seized from the car of a former IPS officer, Ms Bharati Ghosh who is contesting as the BJP candidate from Ghatal Parliamentary Constituency in West Bengal.
