Hyderabad: Hyderabad city police on Monday arrested 12 people in the city and seized 10 swords, 2 daggers and one long knife from their possession.
On credible information, North Zone Task Force team conducted simultaneous raids in the police station limits of Mangalhat, Hussainiyalam, Chatrinaka, Golkonda, Humayun Nagar, Bahudurpura and Amberpet and arrested them and seized the deadly weapons.
Aman Singh, Kunal Singh, Sudheer Singh and Salman, who reside at Mangalhat, procured a sword, dagger and a knife through Snapdeal for Rs 2,000 each for illegal purposes. They clicked pictures holding the weapons and uploaded on social media sites like Facebook and shared via WhatsApp, which created panic among people, police said.
