Senior journalist Suresh Krishnamoorthy passes away

Hyderabad: Senior Assistant Editor (Reporting) of The Hindu, Suresh Krishnamoorthy, passed away on Saturday at Hyderabad. He was 52. He is survived by wife and a daughter. He had collapsed in his flat at Begumpet early on Saturday, after which he was rushed to the Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences where doctors declared him brought dead.

Krishnamoorthy began his career in The Hindu in 1991 as District Correspondent at Anantapur, later transferred to Hyderabad. He had completed 25 years of service with the daily, and was to receive an award for the same at a function in Chennai on September 20.

Journalists, actors, politicians expressed deep sorrow over beloved journalist’s demise.

Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao has expressed his shock over the death of Suresh Krishnamoorthy. He recalled his association and relationship with the senior journalist and conveyed his condolences to the members of the bereaved family.
