Sentiments of Sunni Muslims hurt: Raza Academy on ‘Ram Janmabhoomi’ film

Mumbai, (Maharashtra) [India] Nov 20: Members of a Mumbai-based Islamic organisation, Raza Academy, have filed a police complaint alleging that the trailer of the movie ‘Ram Janmabhoomi’ produced by Uttar Pradesh Shia Waqf Board chief Waseem Rizvi hurt the religious sentiments of Sunni Muslims.

The complaint was lodged two days after the chairman of Shia State Waqf Board (SWB) Syed Waseem Rizvi on November 18 announced the release date of the trailer of the aforementioned movie that represents the timeline of the holy land of Ayodhya.

The Waqf board in a press release said that the movie would be featuring the faith of millions challenged by the extremists and fundamentalists that resulted in the historic divide between the two largest Indian communities.

The announcement of the Shia Waqf Board came at a time when relentless debating is being held over the delayed hearing of the Supreme Court in the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid title suit. [source_without_link]ANI[/source_without_link]
