Roads and Buildings Minister Tummala Nageshwar Rao today directed that officials concerned should take immediate steps to remove those involved in irregularities in Anganwadi Centers. He conducted a review meeting here and said that there are complaints about irregularities. The officials should remove such staff he instructed. The government will not tolerate such activities as the staff and officials are to implement programs as per norms he said.
He said that adoption resources agency committee will be set up with six members for a committee will be constituted on Oct 10 by holding a meeting to look into the needs and facilities of senior citizens. State level committee will attend the meeting he said adding that steps be taken for rationalization and to fill up vacant posts in these centers. He also asked an official team to visit Delhi to achieve Sakhi centers and release of funds promised by the Centre.(NSS)
