Hyderabad: Errabelli Dayakar Rao, who is to take charge as minister for Panchayat Raj & Rural Development on February 22, today warned that serious action will be taken against the officials if they misuse funds and neglect duties.
He held a meeting with Principal Secretary Vikas Raj, Commissioner Neethu Prasad and other officials at Rural Development office in Lower Tank Bund here. As per vision of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao the officials have to make coordinated efforts to achieve golden Telangana. The programs and schemes of the government should be implemented efficiently to reach the people, he said. Stating that he would make field visits in districts after Lok Sabha Polls, Errabelli said officials should involve new Sarpanches to develop villages through schemes.
The department used to get ample funds from the Centre and the State governments and the officials have the responsibility to use them properly, he said. Panchayat Raj Minister also said funds should be used efficiently and as per plan.
