Hyderabad: Senior Congress leader Mohammed Ali Shabbir today alleged that Telangana Chief Electoral Officer Rajat Kumar was turning a blind eye to violation of model electoral code by TRS chief and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao.
Mohammed Ali Shabbir said the CEO was not taking action even as the Chief Minister was using his official residence-cum-camp office at Begumpet for political activities after election notification issued. How can the CEO and State election officials remain mute spectators to such blatant abuse of poll norms”, he asked. Shabbir said his party will take up the issue with Telangana CEO and also the ECI on the blatant violation of election code in the State. He also complained that CEO Rajat Kumar had refused to hear their complaint contending that he was addressing a video conferencing.
