Shameful incident in Bihar: For Rs. 1500 Railway policeman dumps dead body in river

Patna: In a shameful incident which took place in Bihar, a Railway policeman and another person dumped dead body of a man in river for Rs. 1500.

According to the report published in India Today, on Thursday, unidentified body was found at Darbhanga Railway Station by Government Railway Police (GRP). However, tempted by Rs. 1500, Awdhesh Mishra, GRP Officer and driver of ambulance threw dead body in Bagmati River.

However, passerby recorded the entire episode and even questioned the officer. Awdhesh said that as the body had decomposed, they are throwing it in river.

It may be mentioned that according to the rules, Indian Railway provides Rs. 1500 to conduct last rites if any unidentified dead body is found.

Later, the person who recorded the shameful act, uploaded it on social media which triggered anger among the netizens.

After the video went viral, SP of Railway ordered a probe. Department also suspended Awadesh Mishra.
