Shameful incident in Hyderabad: Man molests sleeping co-passenger on bus, arrested

Hyderabad: In a shameful incident, a businessman allegedly molested a sleeping woman co-passenger on the bus. Hayathnagar police arrested the accused on Saturday.

According to the report published in Telangana Today, this incident took place in a moving private bus. As per the details furnished by police, the accused is identified as M. Ravi Chandra (32), a native of Guntur District, Andhra Pradesh. He is a businessman from JV Colony, Gachibowli.

On Friday, he boarded the Vijayawada-Hyderabad from Vijayawada. The victim who is a student of MBA and a native of Krishna District, Andhra Pradesh also boarded the same bus. She was travelling along with her fiance.

During her bus journey, she slept on an upper berth. Seeing her sleeping, accused molested her. The victim woke up and raised an alarm. Co-passengers and driver handed over the accused to the police.

Police registered the case under section 354 of IPC. Later, the court sent him into judicial custody.
