Shelter Home Sex Scandal Case: Key accused owned newspapers in English, Hindi, Urdu

Muzaffarpur (Bihar): In Shelter Home Sex Scandal Case, another detail came to limelight. The key accused of the case has owned newspapers in English, Hindi and Urdu languages.

According to the report published in India Today, Key accused of the case, Brajesh Thakur has also owned newspapers. His newspaper’s circulation figure was claimed huge to get government advertisements.

State Government publication lists Pratah Kamal, News Nexts and Haalaat-e-Bihar as Hindi, English and Urdu newspapers respectively.

It may be mentioned that both PIB and State Information and Public Relations Department have canceled Thakur’s accreditation after the case was filed against him.

As per IPRD sources, Pratah Kamal used to get advertisements related to north Bihar projects. Although the daily circulation of the newspaper was less than 300 copies, it was claimed 60, 862 copies. Due to the inflated figure, the newspaper used to get advertisements worth around Rs 30 lakh per annum.

Meanwhile, police sources said that the premise of Pratah Kamal was used as shelter home.
