New Delhi: Kashmiri Muslim truckers on Tuesday were forced to chant ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ and ‘Pakistan Murdabad’ by Shiv Sena’s Punjab unit, says a report in The Indian Express.

If this wasn’t enough prove their loyalty to India, the truckers were stopped on their way to Jammu and Kashmir and then allegedly made them to burn Pakistani flags. to prove their loyalty to India. The ones failing to do so were beaten up, added the report.

Rajiv Tandon, Shiv Sena’s Punjab chief, said that it was to “pay back” ‘Kashmiri Muslims’ with the “right treatment” for allegedly harassing Amarnath pilgrims.
“What they (Kashmiri Muslims) did to Hindu pilgrims on Amarnath Yatra has been done to them. We only asked Muslim drivers to say ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’ and ‘Pakistan Murdabad.’”the paper quoted Rajiv Tandon as saying.
An FIR was registered against Rajiv Tandon under relevant sections of IPC following the incident.
