Muzaffarnagar (UP): A shameful incident is reported from Dhandeda village where a wife of an Imam was raped by her brother-in-law.
If that was not enough of a deal to bear, the victim was also slapped with divorce notice from her husband. The couple had only married last year.
The victim, the police said, was raped and beaten up at her house on Sunday when she tried to oppose her brother-in-law, SHO Jitender Kumar said.
The officer added the incident happened in the absence of her husband. She was also sent for medical examination after the victim registered FIR against the accused.
