Nirmal: In a shocking and inhuman incident, unknown persons abandoned a newborn girl in the forest near National Highway Chincholi. A lorry driver spotted the newborn girl and informed police, who shifted the 1-day old baby to a maternity hospital. She is hale and healthy under the supervision of doctors.
The incident is a blot on humanity. Sarangpur Mandal police is trying to trace newborn’s parents. Had not the lorry driver seen the girl and informed the police, the baby would have fallen prey to wild animals.
