Hyderabad: The Telangana unit of Bajrang Dal on Tuesday released an open letter to the city-based pubs, hotels and restaurants and asked them not to hold any kind of Valentine’s Day celebrations on their premises. It also warned these commercial establishments of dire consequences if they failed to heed their advice.
The Bajrang Dal told the managements of these establishments that it would not be Indian culture to hold such events. “Are these Valentine’s Day events Kiss Day, Hugging Day, Darling Day, Darling Night, Husband Night and Candle light Day? Do we need such festivals that destroy our culture? The time has come to ponder over these issues,” the regional samyojak of Bajrang Dal Subash Chander and other leaders said in their letter while urging them to extend their support for the cause.
