Siasat Relief work: truck loaded with 17 ton of relief material flagged off for Bihar flood victims

Hyderabad: Recent floods wreaked havoc in Bihar. Over 1.3 crore people battled catastrophic floods. Over that fortnight, 514 people died due to incessant rain for 10 days. The water swept away not just houses with thatched roofs, but the floods robbed the public, once again, of their savings and properties.
Still the people of Bihar continue to reel under the aftermath. They have no food to satisfy hunger and no clothes to cover their bodies. Seemanchal and Kishanbagh received the brunt of the damage.
As the people of Bihar battle devastating floods, Siasat Millat Fund and Faiz-e-Aam Trust is busy collecting relief for them. In the first phase relief material and medicines worth Rs. 5 lakh was sent.

Managing editor Siasat Mr. Zaheeruddin Ali Khan visited the flood affected areas and took stock of the situation. Following which Siasat editor Mr. Zahid Ali Khan appealed people to come forward to help the flood victims. People of Telangana especially Hyderabadis donated generously.

Thus a truck loaded with 17 tons of relief material was flagged off on October 5.

Siasat editor Mr. Zahid Ali Khan, Secretary Faiz-e-Aam Trust Mr. Iftekhar Husain and Mr. Farooq Husain MLC TRS were present on the occasion.
