Sidhu has become ‘Pakistan’s agent’: Harsimrat Kaur

Khagaria: Union Minister for Food Processing Industries Harsimrat Kaur Badal on Thursday said that Punjab Cabinet Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu has become “Pakistan’s agent” after visiting the neighboring nation.

Badal’s comment came after Sidhu’s visit to Pakistan for the groundbreaking ceremony of Kartarpur Corridor, where he was clicked with Khalistani leader Gopal Chawla.

The Union Minister, at the sideline of the food-park inauguration event in Khagaria, said that “Sidhu was hugging the Pakistani General who is killing our men. He even spent three days with him there. Even his photo is out with the terrorist. He has become Pakistan’s agent after going there.”
She further asked Congress chief Rahul Gandhi to state his stand on the matter.

Amid the raging controversy surrounding Sidhu’s visit to Pakistan, the cricketer-turned-politician landed in a soup after the Khalistani leader posted a photograph with the Congress leader on social media.

Chawla posted the snap on his Facebook page, where he is seen standing next to Sidhu during the latter’s visit to Pakistan.

The foundation stone of Kartarpur Corridor was laid down by Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday. The Kartarpur corridor along the India-Pakistan border is three kilometres away from Gurdaspur in Punjab.

Once opened, it would allow Sikh pilgrims a direct access to the historic Gurudwara Darbar Sahib in Kartarpur, Pakistan, where Guru Nanak Dev died in 1539.
