Sidhu justifies his visit to Pakistan, cites Vajpayee’s and Modi’s visit

While Imran was sworn-in Pakistan’s 22nd Prime Minister, the visit of Sidhu to attend Imran’s oath-taking ceremony grabbed a lot of attention. He was welcomed by Imran’s political party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), leader Faisal Javed Khan welcomed him upon his arrival in Islamabad.

After a visit to Pakistan by former cricketer and Punjab Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu, a complaint was filed by advocate Sudhir Kumar Ojha in a Bihar court him under sedition and other charges for hugging Pakistan’s Army chief.

In his defence, Sidhu said, “In the past also efforts for peace have been made, the late Vajpayee ji had taken ‘Dosti bus’ to Lahore, invited Musharraf. PM Modi invited Nawaz Sharif to oath-taking, he also went suddenly to Lahore.”
