Hyderabad: In the process of environmental conservation and power saving, the Telangana State Civil Supplies Department has decided to use Solar Power. A Solar unit with capacity of 50 KW worth Rs 35 lakh was established in the Civil Supplies Bhavan at Somajiguda. Civil Supplies Department Commissioner Akun Sabharwal inaugurated the solar unit on Sunday.
The Commissioner said in the process of encouraging Green Energy, solar power project has been established in the Civil Supplies Department. With help of solar power, load on customary power consumption will reduce. The project will generate every day about 200 units and approximately 6,000 units per month. (NSS)
