Solar storm may hit Earth on Sunday – Here’re the details

New Delhi: A Solar storm likely to hit Earth on 6th May. It may disturb the satellite-based technology of the planet.

As per the report of National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), Sun is ejecting a huge amount of cosmic particles towards Earth.

According to the report published in India.com, Solar Storm which is also called a geomagnetic storm may hit Earth as the star of the solar system, Sun has opened its three coronal holes.

It is also reported that National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) in a statement has reportedly asked sky watchers of high latitude to be alert for auroras. Storms may also result in partial Tech Blackout.

It may be mentioned that Auroras is a light display in the sky. It is produced when solar wind disturbs magnetosphere. It can be seen by people in higher latitudes.
