Soldiers’ sacrifices supreme: Harish Rao

Hyderabad: TRS senior leader and former minister T Harish Rao today hailed the Indian Air Force for its surgical strikes 2.0 by decimating terror camps in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

Reacting to the war-like situation prevailing in India and Pakistan in the wake of Pulwama terrorist attack and India’s retaliation, Harish Rao said the Indian soldiers are sacrificing their lives for the people of India. “It is a pittance whatever we do for them and their families”, he said.

Addressing a meeting of journalists at Siddipet Press Club, the former minister appealed to people to remember bravery and sportive spirit of the IAF personnel for striking at terrorist camps of the enemy country and getting back successfully. “It is great that the IAF and soldiers of our country are working at borders and elsewhere by sacrificing their lives. Their services are priceless and we must extend support to them”, he said.

Harish Rao also said journalism is a profession which gets much respect in the society. Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has taken several steps for journalists’ welfare and I will support their cause in Telangana, Harish Rao said. The TRS Government has allotted Rs 35 crore for welfare of journalists, he added.
