Somireddy ridicules Jagan, Pavan remarks

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Minister and senior TDP leader Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy on Thursday took potshots at YCP chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy and Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan for their comments against the State government.

Noting that both YS Jagan and Pawan Kalyan asked them to learn about agriculture by seeing Telangana state, Somireddy mocked that those who did not know anything about agriculture were advising them on the farming subject. Reddy said the State was much developed than its counterpart Telangana State when it came to agriculture sector. “While the AP State spent Rs 41,000 crore on agriculture sector during the last four years, the Telangana government had spent just Rs 23,000 crore during the same period.

“While we have achieved a growth rate of 11 percent in the agriculture sector, the Telangana State has achieved 2.73 percent growth rate”, Somireddy said and wondered whether the YSRCP which did not attend Assembly sessions a political party. He wanted to know whether YS Jagan comes to the Assembly after becoming the Chief Minister of the State.
