Hyderabad: The Crime team of SR Nagar P.S. today arrested one Harry Anthony Pascal, 34, Gym Trainer, of Ram Nagar, Musheerabad for committing house burglary at his father-in-law’s house. He was produced before the court for judicial remand.
Police said they received a complaint from B. Anthony of Tulasi Nagar, B.K.Guda, S.R. Nagar on December 31, 2017, stating that on November 20, 2017, he along with his wife went to USA leaving his mother-in-law B. Anthonamma in the house. On December 31 he returned from the USA on knowing that an unidentified person barged into his house by breaking open the grill door and pushed aside his mother-in-law and broke open the bedroom doors and Almirah and took away Rs 2,50,000 cash and 18 tolas of gold ornaments. The accused also sprinkled Mirchi powder into the Almirah after committing the theft.
The police registered a case and took up the investigation. The sleuths detected that the complainant’s son-in-law broke open the house and committed theft. He was also sprinkled Mirchi powder into the house and Almirah to vanish the clues. The sleuths watched more than 70 CCTV cameras and traced the route of the accused where he moved before and after the offence. His movements clearly appeared in all CCTV cameras. The police collected CCTV camera footage and found the culprit.
During interrogation, the accused admitted his guilt. The police recovered Rs 1,10,000 cash and 12 tolas of gold ornaments. (NSS)
