Son-in-law of Yusuff Ali pledged Rs 50 Cr, ropes E Sreedharan to rebuilt Kerala

NEW DELHI: Kerala-born Dr Shamsheer Vayalil, who had earlier announced a Rs 50 crore package for Kerala has got India’s Metro Man E Sreedharan to rebuild flood-hit state following the most destructive monsoon.

According to the Dubai-based Middle-East billionaire, Sreedharan will be a part of the group’s activities related to rebuilding and rehabilitation in the flood ravaged state, reported IndiaTimes.

The announcement comes at a time when the flood water receded and the rain-battered state is trying to recover from the worst flooding in nearly a century though the damages suffered to the infrastructure is enormous.

Son-in-law of Middle East retailing tycoon MA Yusuff Ali, Shamsheer is the founder and managing director of UAE-based VPS Healthcare, a network of hospitals, clinics and pharmacies. Yousuff Ali himself has donated Rs 5 crore to the flood relief in Kerala.
