Srihari seeks to control fees in pvt schools

Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari today said that 2016-17 is being conducted as Education Year and giving impetus on improving standards in government run educational institutions.

Talking to media persons here he said that steps are being taken to control escalation of fees in private schools and educational institutions. In week days or so the government will come up with a policy on the need for controlling fees in private educational institutions he disclosed. Srihari also said that standards in education sector will be improved besides conducting DSC for recruitment of teacher posts in the state. It was decided to conduct high level meetings on regular intervals with heads of departments and Registrars of Universities the deputy chief minister stated. He also asked them to ensure that bio metric system and CC cameras are put up in junior, degree and PG colleges of both Government and private sector. A plan will be prepared to see that the primary schools have all facilities while Intermediate students provide their Aadhar details to the managements.

Ambedkar Jayanthi

Referring to Ambedkar 125 Jayanthi celebrations he said that 125 feet bronze statue will be set up on NTR Ghat premises. The Government has decided to conduct year long programs to mark the occasion from April 14 this year toApril 14 next year. Along with Jagadish Reddy, Srihari said that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will lay foundation stone Dalit Studies Center at Borabanda and for Ambedkar statue at NTR Ghat and address a public meeting. The city will be decorated to suit the occasion, he said. (NSS)
