Srinagar: Despite heavy rains in the valley, the security has been tightened in the city a day ahead of the 2nd phase of LS polls on 18th of April.
Security arrangements of the city have been tightened up across the city ahead of the 2nd phase of LS polls in Srinagar and Budgam constituencies scheduled on 18th of April for smooth conducting of elections. Heavy security forces have been deployed across the city to maintain law and order in poll-bound areas.
Forces have intensified frisking of pedestrians and searching of vehicles in Srinagar, whereas Nakas have been established at several places in the city.
