Srinagar: Two militants were killed in an ongoing operation in Ratnipora area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Friday.
A senior Police officer told GNS that two militants have been killed in the ongoing operation, however, the officer declined to disclose the identity of the militants.
Meanwhile, massive protest erupted near the encounter site after protesters tried to march closer to the encounter site. The forces retaliated with tear shells to disperse the protesting youth.
Meanwhile, the Internet has been also suspended in Shopian for precautionary measures. (GNS)
