Hyderabad: Elections to the Legislative Council for electing MLC through teachers’ constituency are scheduled to be held on 22nd March. In view of this, most of the teachers will be deprived of exercising their votes if they are allotted examination duties of SSC.
In view of this, it has become essential for Board of Secondary Education to change the date of SSC English Paper II exam which is scheduled for 22nd March. Since it is not possible to request Election Commission to change the date of polling, Board of Secondary has to take a decision in this regard.
Leaders of teachers’ unions including Mr. Mohammed Abdullah, President Telangana State Teachers’ Union, Mr. Anji Reddy, Mr. Chennaiah of RTU have made a representation to Secretary, Education. A decision will be taken by the officials of Dept. of Education soon.
