State BJP leaders meet EC to ensure right to vote to all eligible voters in State

Hyderabad: A delegation of party leaders led by BJP State Chief Dr. K. Laxman submitted a memorandum to the Election Commissioner demanding action against officials, who were responsible for the faulty and bogus voters’ list and missing voters in Telangana State. The delegation also urged the EC to take steps for providing the right to vote to all eligible voters for the ensuing Lok Sabha elections in the State.

Speaking on the occasion after submitting representation, Laxman said they had also submitted evidence to the EC to prove their claims of bogus votes and missing of voters. He said the EC responded positively to their request and assured of action in the issue.

The delegation consisted of BJP national general secretary Muralidhar Rao and Party MLC N Ramchender Rao. The delegation also met with Union Minister of State for Information & Broadcasting Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore and submitted a representation urging him to not to show any haste in the implementation of the new rules framed by TRAI related to the telecast of cable TV programs. They told the minister that the people of the State and cable operators had so many doubts about the new rules and added that there was a need to create awareness on the issue among them. The minister told the delegation that they would not implement the rules until awareness was created among the people of the country.
