Stop maligning TRS Govt: Harish tells Cong

Irrigation & Marketing Minister T Harish Rao today launched a blistering attack against the Congress leadership in the State for its Gobles campaign against the government for cheap publicity.
Talking to newsmen at Telangana Bhavan here on Monday, Harish Rao ridiculed the Congress for making chief comments for political mileage since it lost power unceremoniously. Harish took pot shots at the previous Congress regime for “swindling” people’s money and failing on all fronts and ignoring welfare of the masses in the State.
The minister also observed the CAG report varies from State to State and the Congress should stop indulging in misguiding the people. The Congress should introspect before criticizing the TRS Government as CAG had repeatedly censured their government for failing in all spheres. He slammed the Congress for not talking about appreciation by the CAG but only talking about lapses it pointed out.

“The people are aware of the 10-year misrule of the Congress and censure by the CAG”, he said, and reminded that during the Congress regime at the Centre, then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had slammed the CAG report and also in the State then chief ministers YSR and Kiran Kumar Reddy nailed CAG reports saying it has no right to find fault with the government affairs.

The budgetary allocations, loans being obtained and funds being used by the TRS Government were for all round development and inclusive growth in the State, he said, adding the Congress had miserably failed to keep its 2009 election manifesto promises and had to sit in the Opposition in 2014. The Congress has failed to learn lessons even now, he fumed.

The minister also alleged that the power-starved Congress leaders were jealous of the ruling party as it was not only keeping all promises and winning hearts of people, but also implementing more schemes than it promised. While Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was committed to people’s welfare and even borrowing loans for State’s development and welfare of all sections of masses, the Congress leaders enjoying power, they never bothered about the welfare of the people, Harish charged. Despite the hurdles being created by the jealousy Congress leaders, the KCR government was going ahead with its agenda of public welfare, implementation of programs of development and completion of the irrigation projects on time, he added.
