Strive to win panchayat polls too: KCR tells leaders

Hyderabad: TRS Supremo and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao at the party State level executive committee meeting held today, directed the leaders and new MLAs and others to get ready for the Panchayat polls ahead and forthcoming Lok Sabha polls next year.

New working president of the party KT Rama Rao, senior leaders, MPs, MLAs and others attended the meeting that discussed several issues such as the polls and TRS victory and preparation for panchayat polls and Lok Sabha polls. Other issues that were reportedly discussed include the party should work for the people issues, Assembly session and cabinet expansion. The focus was on to ensure that the cadre put in efforts for the victor of local leaders in the panchayat polls.

The meeting gets importance after winning the landslide victory in the Assembly polls. KCR chaired the meeting of the first state committee meeting of the TRS at the party headquarters here attended over by all the top leaders who won the polls and defeated and others. The party boss has asked the leaders to make combined efforts at field level and take the schemes to the door steps of the people. Extending thanks to them for working for the victory of the party, KCR has said to offer priority to the leaders who were defeated in the polls. Their services will be used for the party and by giving nominated posts and the leaders should avoid panicky he said.

Local leaders will be elected to the panchayats in the polls to be held soon as the TRS has to play a key role at national politics. The TRS party cadre was directed to work for the victory of the local leaders to head the panchayats by winning the polls.
