Students protest against Henry Kissinger

New York: New York University students protested against former US Secretary of State, Henry Kissinger on Tuesday. They accused him of war crimes.

According to the report published in RT, Kissinger (95) who came to NYU’s Stern School of Business faced the protest. Protestors also gathered outside the venue.

They criticized Kissinger’s foreign policy. It may be mentioned that he had supported Chilean Dictator Augusto Pinochet.

On Tuesday, protesters interrupted Kissinger continuously. One of them shouted, “Henry Kissinger, on behalf of the International Criminal Court, you are a war criminal, you have committed genocide against the people of the world!”. Another person shouted, “You deserve to answer to war crimes!”.

It may be noted that he is accused of playing role in coup in Chile and supporting Pakistan’s genocide in Bangladesh in 1971.

During his tenure, he led bombing campaign in Laos and Cambodia.
