Hardoi (Uttar Pradesh): In a shocking incident, a sub-inspector of the Uttar Pradesh police allegedly sexually assaulted a girl for a year in the pretext of marriage.
An first investigation report (FIR) was registered against him at the Majhila police station in Uttar Pradesh’s Hardoi district on Saturday.
“A woman has alleged that she was sexually assaulted by the sub-inspector while she was studying here. She has given birth to their child and now she is demanding the status of a wife. FIR has been registered against the sub-inspector, who has been suspended,” Superintendent of Police (SP) Vipin Mishra told ANI.
The sub-inspector is absconding for the last six days, while the search operation is on, Mishra added. (ANI)
