Supreme Court dismisses bail plea of Wasim Rizvi

New Delhi: Chairman Uttar Pradesh Shia Waqf Board Wasim Rizvi received a big jolt when Supreme Court dismisses his bail plea and ordered him to produce himself before the Lucknow trial court. Though Wasim Rizvi’s arrest has been delayed for 15 days in view of Ramadan, however, the Supreme Court has refused to grant bail and issue stay order on the charge sheet.

Now Wasim Rizvi has no choice but to produce himself before the court. A two-member bench of Justice Indira Banerjee and Justice Sanjiv Khanna heard the case of Wasim Rizvi.

According to Inquilab advocate, Mahmood Pracha said it is a great success for our campaign against Waqf plunderers and Waqf mafia.

He told that the Supreme Court has clearly asked Wasim Rizvi to produce himself before the trial court within 15 days. He said the case dates back to 2012 and is related to Dargah Hazrat Abbas, Lucknow, in which Wasim Rizvi is accused of a murder attempt on a Mutawalli of Dargah.
