‘T for Taj Mahal’ to tell story on social entrepreneurship

Mumbai: “T for Taj Mahal”, the newly announced Sony Pictures Networks Productions that will portray a journey of social entrepreneurship will be directed by Kireet Khurana.

The cast includes acclaimed names such as Subrat Dutta, Ali Faulkner, Bidita Bag, Manoj Pahwa and Pitobash in pivotal roles.

Rooted in India’s heartland, the film is a relevant and timely story exploring a subject that is a big challenge in the country – the lack of education, a statement said.

Khurana said: “‘T for Taj Mahal’ is an idea that is built on the fact that education is a basic right and that a simple idea could spark a revolution. I truly believe that cinema has the power to start a relevant conversation that can empower lives.

“I am very grateful to SPNP for believing in the film as they will take this film with a big heart to the very people it was made for.”

After “Piku”, “Azhar”, “Mubarakan” and “Poster Boys”, the studio will also come up with “Soorma”.
