Amid reports that MLA A. Revanth Reddy might join the Congress party, the Telangana TDP leaders have convened an important meeting on Friday to discuss the issue.
According to sources, Telangana TDP president L. Ramana and other important leaders are likely to meet on Friday to discuss the possible impact of Revanth Reddy’s exist on the party. However, a few leaders are trying to pacify Revanth Reddy and have also invited him to attend the meeting. It is not yet clear whether or not Revanth Reddy, who is also Working President of Telangana unit, would attend the meeting. If Revanth Reddy abstains from the meeting, then it would be clear that he was leaving the party, the sources added.
Meanwhile, some senior leaders in the Congress party have claimed that Revanth Reddy was all set to join their party. Revanth Reddy has already met AICC Vice-President Rahul Gandhi to discuss the issue. They said Revanth Reddy’s entry into Congress party would be unconditional and he was not offered any post.
