TADJAC happy with removal of badge condition, to felicitate CM

Telangana Auto Drivers’ JAC has decided to hold a meeting at Ravindra Bharathi shortly to welcome the government’s decision to do away with badge condition to Auto-Taxi Drivers following Supreme Court judgment.

Speaking to mediapersons here on Saturday, TADJAC convener Amanullah Khan hailed the court verdict waiving the badge condition and the auto drivers will be happy to drive their vehicles with their existing driving licenses only. He said Chief Minister KCR will be invited to the auto drivers’ function where he would be conferred with “Telangana Founation of Joy” title on the occasion in support of the TRS Government’s developmental activities and welfare schemes being implemented. He recalled that the Traffic police and RTA officials used to harass auto drivers for not having badges along with their driving license and heavy penalty from Rs 1,500 to Rs 2,500 used to be collected.

TADJAC leaders K. Laxminarsaiah, M.A Saleem, Mirza Rafath Baig, M.A. Qadeer, Vamshi Krishna, Mohd Azeemuddin, Shaik Raheem, Mohd. Lareef and Farooq Bhai were also present. (NSS)
