Taj Mahal is cultural heritage, Jaipal Reddy demands PM to clarify

Hyderabad: Taj Mahal is the cultural heritage of the country. It is one of the Seven Wonders of the World. BJP leaders are making an attempt to create a conflict about this cultural heritage unnecessarily. Mr. Narendra Modi should intervene and clarify his stand. These thoughts were expressed by the senior leader of Congress and former minister, Mr. S. Jaipal Reddy while addressing a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan on Tuesday.

He further told that Central Govt. has failed to fulfill its promises and hence it has started spreading hatred to disturb communal harmony. It may benefit BJP temporarily but it cannot be sustained. The downfall of BJP is certain.

Mr. Reddy also criticized the Govt. of Telangana and said that ED has an eye on the irregularities. Mr. KCR is afraid of the BJP Govt. due to which he is continuing his support to every decision taken by Mr. Modi.

The people of Telangana are very conscious. They will teach lessons to BJP and TRS. Both the parties have to meet the wrath of the people. He ridiculed the allegations made by Mr. KCR that Congress is approaching the court to create hurdles in the construction of irrigation projects.

Without taking the name of Mr. T. Harish Rao, Mr. Reddy said that Kalwakurti Lift Irrigation project is the initiative of Congress and not of TRS.

Mr. Reddy also supported the opinion expressed by Petroleum Minister, Mr. Dharmendra Pradhan and said that petrol and diesel should be covered under GST. The State Governments should reduce VAT in order to bring down petrol and diesel prices. He further said that is if international prices are taken into consideration, petrol should cost Rs. 40 per liter.
